We drive through the rice fields
from the province of Tarlac to the province La Union.
We'll go to the nice little town Agoo. We'll visit
the cathedral. One of the oldest and most beautiful
churches in the Philippines. We stay in San Fernando
in the Southern Palms Resort that is directly located
on the beach from the South China Sea. At the resort
is a nice Nightclub and good restaurant.
 
The next morning we'll drive the
beautiful coast road to the north to Vigan. Vigan
is famous because its well preserved old architecture
out of the Spanish colonial period. Very impressive
is Vigan in the light of the early morning with its
many old colonial houses and Calesas (carriages) a
picture out of the year 1700. Unesco funded money
to restore the old city center with its more than
180 old colonial houses. Beautiful restored is the
impressive cathedral of Saint Paul one of the oldest
and biggest churches out of the Philippines dated
out of the year 1641. We stay overnight in a old colonial
house. The next day in the afternoon we drive back
to La Union.
 
We visit Baguio. Originally build
by the Americans around the year 1900 as resting place
in the mountains. The city is called "The Summer
Capital" the always cool city in the mountains
is a loved holiday place for the more fortunate Filipinos.
The city is also called "The Flower City"
with its yearly flower festival.
From San Fernando we drive over
the President Marcos Highway a breath taken zigzag
road through the mountains to the on 1500 meters high
build city Baguio. We visit the famous Burnham Park
and a Tam-awan village. This village with its Ifugao
houses shows you the culture of the tribes living
in the Cordillera mountains. You can watch here local
weaving and woodcarving. In the afternoon back to
Angeles City or the starting point of the next travel
module.

up of the ”100 Islands & San Fabian Tour”.
The ”Banaue Rice terraces Tour” is excellent
to continue with.
